Amlanjyoti Goswami, Pongkhi Bujorbarua & Lata Mani
Facts
The sun just a star
The leaves all there is to a tree
The road for walking
Cars to get trapped in
Money makes veins rise
What is measured, all there is.
We are alone, friend,
Silence gathers around us like a wolf
On the way home, an evening sandwich
Talks to me of sunset
Its edges rough,
Leaves wandering green
- Amlanjyoti Goswami
Urban Recycling (due apologies to Amlan)
All there is to get trapped in walking
Makes veins rough
The road edges like a wolf
Cars rise
Sunset gathers
Glistening we see again
as if for the first time
All there is
- Lata Mani
Grandmother
the house dishevelled
taken by early morning surprise
of new paint
shakes in vain while stripped bare
for ceremony of coat and plaster
its belongings
autumn leaves swept away
flutter for spring return of colour
bathed dry, house will put on new clothes
shimmering for old measured eyes
waiting for something to happen
- Amlanjyoti Goswami
